To festively bring in the Christmas season, on 19th December 2015, the Sierra School welcomed over 70 people to our open-air screening of Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" in the San Ignacio Park. We provided free popcorn and Christmas cookies. The audience responded with endless giggles. We would like to especially thank Lucas and Zoe Dearborn, Micheal Walsh, Esli Meijia, Cheri Streimikes, Nataly Muñoz Talavera, Fabrice Serrière, Judy Rupp, and a great big thank you to Victor Gonzalez Chavez for helping put on a wonderful event! Free, public events like this allow us to build bridges with the local community, create visibility for the school and generate local support. The screening was a total success with local neighborhood families and Sierra School students, families and community members attending. First, the Mexican grandmas showed up, then came children and more children. Night fell to peels of laughter!
