The wonderful Sierra School of Todos Santos in Baja (BCS) is off to a great start. All the students want to learn and have a good time while doing it. The teachers are as great as ever; and we all are eager to learn how and interesting things that we can apply to our lives. Our school is getting a head start on the IB (International Baccalaureate) accreditation by getting an actual Mexican national accreditation (SEP). The teachers care that the students learn and become smart and intelligent as we become adults. All the students (counting myself) are excited to go to school every day so we can learn more with our fellow peers and teachers. I love my English literature class with Molly Lou. I like it because I'm learning a ton, even though English is my first language. I learn new words and how to become a better writer. I don't think the class would be the same if Molly Lou was not the teacher. She is super smart and knows so much about English. I am very so happy when she shares her vast knowledge with everyone. Currently, we are reading a book called Adrift about a man who survived 76 days lost at sea. We have learned lots of vocabulary words and how to write a good essay. We are also learning to find important ideas from our reading and apply these to our lives. I enjoy all of the challenges of English class because I have never been the best writer; but I'm sure that this year can turn that around.
I can tell that this is a start to a fabulous year!
