Sierra School students, teachers, family and community members celebrated a fabulous first semester of learning and achievement with a nature hike on our last day of term. On December 18th, over 20 of us hiked to the old Port south of Punta Lobos, for beach exploring, a picnic and roasted marshmallows. The weather was cool and several students went swimming! We ended our picnic like responsible ecologists: everyone carried trash out from this protected beach. We filled a large trash can with plastic refuse. Thanks, everyone, for an excellent first term and gorgeous day at the beach!
