I think it is exciting to be part of the creation stages of the Sierra School. I like the idea that my opinions and experiences will help to form a more perfect school for the years to come. It is like starting fresh with no mistakes. It also just seems fun because The Sierra School of Todos Santos is new and small. This spring, I went to a small school in Jamaica for two weeks and I liked it because it was small and different from American schools. In a small school, I noticed that it was calmer and students were more focused in their work. I am able to work better and enhance my learning when I am not distracted by large, loud groups. I also like the idea that I would be able to get more help in a small class, if I need it. Finally, I am excited to be a student in The Sierra School because it is a new way to learn and I will become a better Spanish speaker. I like learning Spanish because then I can travel to many more countries in the world that speak Spanish, and I love to travel. My family and I really love to travel to different places in the world. My parents have traveled with me since I have been a baby. Very early I have liked to experience other cultures, climates, and languages. Experience in the world helps me relate to all different kinds of people and cultures. I enjoy geography, nature, and historical facts. The more I travel, the more I can learn about the world we live in.
